As Oswego`s population approaches the 29,000 mark, retail, industrial, and service opportunities abound. The Oswego Chamber is excited to invite new and existing businesses to experience the advantages of chamber membership. Chamber benefits include increased marketing opportunities, collaborative strength regarding business issues, access to excellent professional development through workshops and meeting speakers, increased access to business-to-business commerce, community-wide exposure through a variety of high-profile events, group benefit discounts offered by a variety of providers, and much more. Our business is making your business grow and succeed! With over 430 active members we invite you to click in and experience the Oswego Chamber of Commerce. NETWORKING Ambassadors - This energetic bunch meets and greets members at various events including ribbon cuttings and Business After Business. They also help members connect with each other to develop valuable relationships. Annual Dinner - You must not miss our premier event of the year, which celebrates our accomplishments and looks to future opportunities. Business After Business - To maximize your Chamber experience, make sure to attend these monthly networking events hosted by our members. You could even host one yourself. Just contact the Chamber office. Business Expo - Each Spring, this tremendous event showcases our members to the entire community. Make your company name and logo come alive by putting your face and abilities in front of your potential customers. Leads Groups (4) - Many of our members attribute membership in our Leads Groups as the most vital thing they have done for their business. Helping members grow their businesses is the number one priority of these groups. Business leads are exchanged weekly at breakfast or lunch meetings. New Member Dinner - Each year we celebrate the new faces of the Chamber with a fun and interactive evening. Whether you are a new member or a charter member, the networking at this event is invaluable. New Teacher Breakfast - The Chamber sees our school district as a vital partner for a healthy community. As a result, each year some of our members help welcome new teachers to the area and give them information on resources we can provide to assist them in and out of the classroom. The Breakfast also provides the revenue needed for two scholarships awarded to a senior from each high school each year. Ribbon Cuttings - Come support your fellow members and get to know more people at our regular ribbon cuttings. Contact the Chamber office if you would like us to celebrate your grand opening! ADVERTISING Community Visitors Guide - Your Chamber membership entitles you to a free listing in this handy community resource that is distributed by the Oswego Economic Development Corporation. Copies are available at several businesses in the community, the Village office, the Chamber office and are delivered to all homes and businesses in Oswego each year. Newsletter - Get the word out to the business community and other business leaders by advertising in this worthy publication. A 1/4 page ad (approximately 300 X 300 pixels) is $25 and a 1/2 page ad (600 X 300 pixels) is $50. Ads should be in gif or jpeg format. E-blasts - Want to stand out from the crowd? Exclusive email blast ads are available for $75. Your ad will go to all Chamber of Commerce members, and only one ad will be distributed each week. Ads need to be in a gif or jpeg format and no larger than 250KB and 720 X 800 pixels. LEARNING Member Seminars - Looking to grow and strengthen your business? Attend one of the worthwhile seminars offered several times over the course of the year. Past topics include networking, sales, and building your business through referrals. POW! - Professional Oswego Women offers educational lunch seminars six times a year. The topics vary from business to personal interests, reflecting the challenge of living a balanced life. For more information about POW please visit this page. COMMUNITY OUTREACH Education Committee - Being a good community partner means supporting our schools. This group represents the Chamber by hosting a breakfast for the new teachers each fall. The proceeds from this event allows $1500 in scholarships to be given to Oswego and Oswego East High Schools. Not-for-Profit Committee - The Chamber embraces our many member organizations with charitable and civic minded causes. This group gives them a forum to find ways to help each other succeed and strengthen our community. CHAMBER LEADERSHIP Nominating Committe- Help find qualified candidates to be the next leaders of our Chamber. Programs - This group organizes various events for the Chamber, which currently include the Annual Dinner in April and our New Member Dinner in September. FUNDRAISERS Golf Outing - Held the first Wednesday in June each year, this outing brings business and community leaders together for a day of networking and fun. Organized Bike Ride - Held in July, this great community event brings seasoned road riders and family fun riders to our downtown. We offer at 25, 50, 75 and 100 mile Road Ride and also a Family Ride along the Fox River.
