Oswego and Oswego East High Schools Internship and Work Study Program

The Oswego High Schools are eager to partner with Chamber members interested in providing high quality on-the-job experience to seniors. This is a perfect opportunity for business owners to contribute to the future of our community while benefiting from the talented young men and women who will soon be joining the workforce. Two programs are available:

  • Internship – This program pairs a student with a mentor in their chosen future career field.  The 10-12 week program gives the student access to an expert in the field to ask questions about the career as well as observe the environment that the student may be working in.  The mentor has the opportunity to share their experiences, career journey, and advise the student on their future in the industry.
  • I.C.E. – 18 week work study program, 9 weeks in a consumer education class learning how to put together a resume and do a career search; and 9 weeks at a business. This is a paid position in which students are paid by the business.
