Heartsaver First Aid with Adult/Child CPR/AED
This course is designed to teach basic CPR and relief of choking skills for adults and children. Participants will also learn to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). First Aid techniques such as caring for injuries to muscles and bones, bleeding, burns, sudden illnesses, shock, and environmental emergencies are included. Successful participants will receive CPR/AED and First Aid certification that is valid for two years. This class will be held at the Aurora Campus of Waubonsee Community College. WCC - Affordable Care Act Event
Please join us for this FREE presentation on What Small Businesses Need to Know about the Affordable Care Act. This 90 minute seminar will focus on small business opportunities and obligations presented by the Affordable Care Act including tax credits, notification requirements and brief strategy considerations. You can learn how to comply with the new regulations, how to minimize your tax liability, and how to build a health insurance plan in the new market. Energetic Health Acupuncture Open House for Veterans
Energetic Health Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine will host an open house for veterans on Saturday, June 1. As our way to say thank you to those who have served in the military we will give free mini acupuncture treatments from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Space is limited, those interested should call 630-553-1783 to schedule a time slot.
Acupuncture has been used to successfully treat ailments experienced by active service personal, those newly returning home and also seasoned veterans. Patients have found relief from headaches, anxiety and depression, muscular discomfort, joint pain, and insomnia. Acupuncture can also be helpful in treating those experiencing grief and PTSD.

Cop on Rooftop Event
On May 31st Law enforcement throughout Illinois will once again be staking out the rooftops of Dunkin’ Donuts to heighten awareness and raise money for Special Olympics Illinois! The Oswego Police Department will be participating in the Cop on Rooftop event at the Dunkin Donuts located at 4032 Route 34. This event will begin at 5 a.m. and last until 2 p.m. Please come out and support the efforts of your Oswego Police Officers as they raise awareness and money for Special Olympics!
