Oswego and Oswego East High Schools Internship and Work Study Program

The Oswego High Schools are eager to partner with Chamber members interested in providing high quality on-the-job experience to seniors. This is a perfect opportunity for business owners to contribute to the future of our community while benefiting from the talented young men and women who will soon be joining the workforce.
In addition, a senior from Oswego High School and a senior from Oswego East High School will be given the opportunity to each receive a $750 scholarship based on their performance, attendance, and effort to succesfully complete one of the two following programs with Chamber businesses. This opportunity is made possible with the generous support from our 2007 New Teacher Breakfast sponsors.

Two programs are available:

Internship – This is for senior students only that have decided upon a specific career path or course of study. A transcript is required as well as a recommendation of at least 2 teachers and an interview with a counselor.

I.C.E. – 18 week work study program, 9 weeks in a consumer education class learning how to put together a resume and do a career search; and 9 weeks at a business. This is a paid position in which students are paid by the business.

If your business is interested in participating with the high schools with either of these programs, please contact:
